Things people ask us.

How long does it take to form a limited company?
Most formations complete within 24 hours of submission to Companies House. We can typically have your company registered, share structure set, registered office in place and HMRC registrations submitted within 2-3 working days of you sending us your details. If you need same-day formation, Companies House offers it for an additional £30 — we can arrange this on request.
Should I form a limited company or stay as a sole trader?
For most micro businesses earning under £30,000 profit per year, sole trader is simpler and often more tax-efficient after the 2026/27 dividend rate changes. Between £30,000 and £60,000 profit it's roughly a wash. Above £60,000 limited company starts to save money — but only if you don't extract all the profit each year. Don't incorporate for tax reasons alone; do it for limited liability, customer requirements, or growth ambition. We'll do this analysis with you before you decide.
What's included in your formation service?
Companies House registration with your chosen name; share structure (default 100 ordinary £1 shares to one director-shareholder, customised on request); Memorandum and Articles of Association; registered office in our Woodford Green address if you don't want your home address public; Companies House initial filings; HMRC Corporation Tax registration; VAT registration if needed; PAYE scheme setup if you'll pay yourself salary. All included in a £150+VAT one-off fee.
Can you act as our registered office?
Yes — for £75 per year we'll be your registered office and service address. This keeps your home address off the public Companies House register, and we handle all official mail (Companies House, HMRC, court documents) on your behalf, scanning and forwarding within one working day. Most one-person companies and home-based businesses use this for privacy and professionalism.
Do you handle ongoing Companies House filings?
Yes. After formation, every limited company needs to file a Confirmation Statement annually (£34 to Companies House) and annual accounts (within 9 months of year-end). On Growth and Scale tiers we handle both as part of your monthly fee. We also handle director changes, share allotments, share transfers and any Special Resolutions when they come up.
